Honk your horns today, in support of the women in Saudi Arabia who are bravely protesting the ban that prevents them from driving.
Although there is no written law in Saudi Arabia that explicitly prohibits women drivers, women are not issued driving licences, and religious authorities and scholars have declared women driving 'haraam' (forbidden). It's the only country in the world with such a ban, and many women (and some men) feel it's time to do something about it.
Today many brave women in Saudi Arabia, spurred on by support on the Twittersphere (#women2drive) got behind the wheel, started their engines and drove their way into a courageous campaign for their rights.
Next time you get behind the wheel, take a second to think about the brave Saudi women standing up for their right to mobility. Courage after all, is contagious.
